Hi! I'm Mark Van Roode A.K.A. "The Jolly Llama". The Jolly Llama is the short form for "Coogal, The Jolly Llama", a moniker that my comrades in the army gave me years ago. To me, it signifies my serious, yet tongue in cheek off the wall, non-conformist approach to life.
The Jolly Llama is my vehicle to do things that I think need to be done. I think we need to look to nature to solve our problems, whatever they are. I believe in local economies, using environmental accounting practices, so that our priorities become a little more rational.
In my approach to life, one simple tenet keeps me on focus and it's simple:
"The best you can do, is all you can do".
To that end, I commit to giving at least 25% of my income to local environmental projects. Over the next 30 years or so, I will be doing much much more for our environment, our community and ultimately for myself, The Jolly Llama. Thanks.
